Andrew Watson Wins Bioventus Scholarship for 2019

Congratulations to Andrew Watson (son of Chad Watson, Senior Manager Enterprise Data Architect & Integration) the winner of the 2019 Bioventus Scholarship. Andrew graduated from Raleigh Charter High School this past spring and his academic achievements including excelling at math and physics, and extracurricular activities such as music, earned him $3,000 toward tuition at North Carolina State University in Raleigh.

Part of Andrew’s application for the scholarship was a heartfelt essay on being a big brother to children his family has fostered and how the experience allowed him to grow and understand the perspective of others. It has also provided him with an interest in pursuing a career in a field that will allow him to build something to help others less fortunate.

“I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to spread my wings this coming year at college,” said Andrew. “Thank you Bioventus for helping me fly.”

Thanks is also extended to all candidates who applied and were considered for this year’s award. Even though they were ultimately not selected, all deserve congratulations for their accomplishments.
