A key to our ultimate success is to consistently achieve double digit growth as an entire business.  We want this to become a habit in our business and have it be part of our culture.  Double digit growth will lead to market share gains, enhanced leadership, value creation, strong stock performance and expanding opportunities for growth for all of our employees!

This is not an easy achievement to do consistently.  Bioventus has the strategy, platform and foundation to achieve this for many years to come.  The combination of our high single digit organic (current business) growth coupled with our M&A strategy and pipeline of new products will help us achieve this milestone consistently.

To recognize sales individuals that hit this milestone within their geographies we will recognize this.  Also remember that it takes everyone involved pushing in the same direction to achieve this goal.

Below are some highlights domestically and will also include our international country performance as we move forward.  For January we are off to a good start but have some work to do to get to double digit growth across the entire business.  We had four DOS in our HA/Exogen verticals with double digit growth. Average daily sales (ADS) is the metric since January of ‘21 was a longer month in number of days than January of ’20.

  • Thomas Rulon at 25.7%
  • Nathan Perry at 22.9%
  • Michael Miller at 16.5%
  • Mark Kaplan at 13.7%

We also had 57 sales territories achieve double digit ADS growth in January!  Congratulations to all!

The top five sales reps for January based on ADS growth were;

  1. Abigail Coppedge at 132.4%
  2. Ashley Smerekanicz at 100.6%
  3. Stephanie Rolfo at 100.5%
  4. Barry Elliott at 97.2%
  5. Amy Ahern at 79.1%

For the Bone Graft Substitutes business we had one of three regions achieve double digit growth, Curt Frund at 31% of prior year ADS.

We had three Area Managers achieve double digit growth;

  1. Francisco Rios at 407%!
  2. Sean Stevenson at 30%
  3. Nicholas Shires at 17%

Some of the early achievements on the Scorecard objectives that will help us get to double digit growth are the following;

  • Early cases continue with the OsteoAmp flowable and it is on target for launch in Q3
  • FDA has provided early communication on the Exogen PMA supplement that was submitted in late ’20 and we await initial questions.  The relaunch date is in Q3.
  • Motys commenced the IDN study with the first patient and while not an objective is a major milestone for this pipeline development project
  • We are well on our way with multiple diligence efforts with our tuck in business development efforts and are tracking for strong progress this year

Importantly, we are making a difference each day in patients’ lives that benefit from our products.

Our goal of over 400,000 patients treated this year averages to over 1,600 patients that benefit from our products each and every business day!  That is amazing and something to be proud of!
