Bioventus Bioness Integration Update – April 29, 2021

This is the second in a series of regular updates to share our progress integrating Bioventus and Bioness.

Notable connections are being made with leaders in EMEA as Harald Weebers and Geena Portier of the Bioventus Hoofddorp office meeting with colleagues at the Bioness office in Zwijndrecht, The Netherlands on April 22.

“Geena and I met with Peter Huijzer the GM for Bioness EMEA. We spoke about the Bioness business, he gave us a tour and we also visited with Nicolle Bosman and Richard Commandeur,” reports Harald.

Coming up the week of May 3 is a meeting in Valencia where John Nosenzo, Phil Stead and Vivek Munshi will join Joel Behnke and his team for a Bioness Rehabilitation business review. In addition, over in Memphis, the joint operations team will meet in person for the first time with their relatively new leader, Miguel Beltran-Delgado, who joined Bioventus in January.

“We are getting together to further understand and align on the Bioventus strategy and initiate the journey of becoming a unified stronger team,” said Miguel. “The team will get to know one another and to know me better, understand the vision for operations and reset expectations. I think this activity will mark an important milestone for the operations team on assuming our global role to enable growth for the combined organization.”

Lastly, in order to create connections at the product level, Bioness products were put on display in one of the showcases in the Durham office. Similar displays will appear at our other Bioventus offices and likewise, a display of Bioventus products will appear Bioness facilities soon.
