We are a growth company that is sustained by keeping and recruiting top talent!  Special recognition and congratulations to Shellie Burchett (patient financial services representative) and Tammie Midgett (manager reimbursement services) for winning first and second prize for Q1 talent referrals!  Shellie and Tammie are both based in our Memphis office.

Special recognition as well to Mercedes Bayani (VP clinical and regulatory Bioness) and Shanna Hu (senior manager regulatory affairs) for gaining MHLW approval of the L300 Go in Japan 3 months earlier than expected.  Special assistant was also provided by Arkady Glukhovsky (VP of R&D Bioness), Jung Kim (director of software engineering Bioness) and Janet Bumbarger (senior manager quality assurance Bioness).  The potential of the L300 Go in Japan is significant and we look forward to seeing the “Go” Go in Japan gaining growth and market penetration later this year;)!

Lastly, from everything I have heard the engagement across the Bioness and Bioventus teams on mutual collaboration has been terrific!  While there will always be some bumps in the road as you bring two organizations together I want to remind everyone of some key principles we highlighted a couple of weeks ago during the Bioness acquisition announcement that are worth repeating.

  1. Bioness continues to need to focus on “business as usual” and we look for a strong Q2.  The Bioventus team is extremely excited to have you on our team!
  2. Be patient, we are taking the time to learn about the Bioness organization and for the Bioness team to learn about Bioventus.  This mutual understanding will lead to the best decisions relative to integration and efficiencies we can potentially gain.
  3. We will not perform integration for integration sake with that said communication across the business is paramount to success and this will get easier as we get to know one another and have communication chains strengthened
  4. We will always work in a transparent and open manner and expect all key managers and leaders to have that consistent mindset
