If you are looking for ideas to use your Philanthropy Day as an individual or team event, below are some current opportunities in the Raleigh/Durham Area.

Help the Vets

A meaningful volunteer opportunity to support your local Veterans! On March 25^th your local Red Cross has partnered with other community organizations to support Veterans and local homeless. From 9am to 2pm, at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park we are supporting the 2020 Bull City Fresh Start Stand Down and Homeless Connect. They need volunteers to support this event.

Volunteers will be escorting veterans throughout the event to partner tables, working either the Red Cross table or a partner organizations table, as well as potential in feeding and other tasks.

Through its outreach efforts and online volunteer community, it helps recruit and connect individuals, groups, and companies to fulfill volunteer needs with Community Partners around the Triangle area, North Carolina.

Arthritis Foundation – is always seeking volunteers to serve as ambassadors for the organization at tabling opportunities in the community. -Host a special event at the hospital: (any size)

-Craft Activity Party

-Group Garden Project: (Max of 25)

-Volunteers are needed to work in the gardens on campus – clean, plant, weed, water, etc.
