All,

As we enter the second month of Q3 are business is firing on all cylinders and we want to continue to keep that positive momentum going.  The whole Bioventus team should be proud of what we have accomplished so far this year!

This week on Tuesday we will hold our Q2 quarterly financial call for analysts and investors and everyone is welcome to listen into this important call (or a recording) as we update the external world on how the business is performing relative to expectations we have previously set.  We also use this time to update on our progress with other key initiatives including our integration update with Bioness, the recently announced pending acquisition of Misonix and our progress on our product development pipeline. As we normally do, we will hold a Town Hall meeting on Wednesday for all employees to provide additional color, discuss in detail our Q2 results and our overall progress as a business.

Last week we had a meeting with some of our top leaders in our organization to discuss our culture and provide further context on the results of our culture survey and prepare these leaders for next steps in our discussions on culture.  Culture can be a “squishy” topic that is sometimes hard to define and sometimes more appropriately discussed in groups in an in person setting.  My thanks to all the leaders that attended this and dedicated the time to have this discussion which was facilitated by Spencer Stuart.  Next steps are more in depth discussions on our culture led by these leaders on a departmental level.  This will occur by mid-September.  Bioventus is fortunate to have a positive culture built on a Results, Caring and Learning environment.  Coupled with a strong Purpose of serving patients there is no limits to what we can do as a company all pushing in the same direction and executing to our strategy.  Importantly, our cultural evolution to a Growth Mindset will be a journey and not a destination.

As an Executive Team through a memo that came from Leigh Ann Stradford we announced last week a new initiative to encourage ALL employees to become vaccinated.  We are offering an extra incentive to do this by granting two additional employee choice days in 2021 for all employees that enter their vaccination card into Workday which you can start doing by August 10th.  I personally urge each of you if you have not already been vaccinated to do so if you can.  As a healthcare company dedicated to helping thousands of patients each and every day we ourselves need to stay healthy and strong and responsive to supporting our growth and work with patients.  Vaccinations are quickly becoming required in many public healthcare settings and hospitals as well as other settings where people gather including restaurants, sporting events and work places.  I urge you to take this step and get vaccinated now if you can and not wait any longer!
