The Red River Team is Helping Santa This Year

Each year, hundreds of thousands of letters sent to Santa from children and families arrive at Post Offices around the United States. Most letters ask for toys and games. USPS Operation Santa makes it possible for individuals and organizations to adopt these letters and send responses and thoughtful gifts in Santa’s place.

This December, the Red River Team (Blake Foster, Ashley Kornegay, Morgan Hood, Christopher Morgal, Kim Morgal, Shelsey Wood and Gabrielle Walker) decided to help Santa meet the needs of a young boy and girl.

“The children are siblings, Hannah and Joey, and they live in Nebraska,” said Morgan a Dallas, Texas-based Sales Representative for Active Healing Therapies. “I shared images of the letters with the team. Each had the chance to claim gift they would like to contribute for the team effort of providing a special Christmas to these children.”

Logistically the gifts need to be mailed in one box. Morgan volunteered to manage that aspect of the project asking her colleagues to make sure they could send the gifts to her in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area so they can by shipped by this Saturday and arrive on time for Hannah and Joey in Nebraska.

“What an amazing way to bless others as we wrap up this crazy year,” said Morgan.

Thanks to Morgan Hood for taking the lead and getting everyone engaged,” said Dave Varner, Area Vice President, AHT West. “What they’ve done will ensure a couple kids have a great holiday and visit from Santa.”
