Updated Return to Work Guidance for the US Offices

Bioventus is in the process of returning to our new normal with our field sales organization-seeing customers and our offices in the US opening on June 1. When deciding to open our offices to more employees in Durham and Memphis, we kept safety as our priority while adhering to federal, state, and local guidelines. As we return our US office based employees back to their office locations, we want to share more details on this transition.

Overall Guidelines:

Bioventus is creating a safe environment for our employees to return to work:

  • Bioventus follows federal, state, local and CDC guidelines.
  • Bioventus offices in the US (Durham and Memphis) occupied at approximately 50% during June and further occupancy guidelines confirmed based on local guidelines by the end of June.
  • We will accomplish this by averaging ~20 employees returning to work each week in Durham and in Memphis to achieve our goal of 50% capacity by the end of June.
  • Employees return to their normal work schedules and locations in a phased approach communicated by their manager. The specific timing for each employee will be determined based on available space and local guidance after June 1. The specific schedule for each department will be managed by each manager with their Executive or Site Manager’s approval.
    • Employees with underlying health conditions may continue to work remotely.
    • Employees challenged with childcare or elder care issues may continue to require flexibility in managing their work and location. Managers will work with each employee to ensure both employee and business needs are addressed.
    • Employees will be notified in advance when they are expected to return to the office. Managers are expected to review the guidelines in detail with employees before they return to work.
    • Managers should return to offices first unless prevented by an underlying health condition or issues with childcare or eldercare. The timing for each Manager returning to the office will be communicated by their Executive.

Office Changes to Accommodate Social Distancing

  • In order to adhere to social distancing, an employee’s normally assigned workstation may not be available.
  • If an employee assigned to an office is not returning to work 3 days per week beginning June 1 for any reason, their office will become available to an employee working in the office 4+ days per week and normally working in an open workstation.
  • Any employee experiencing an office/workstation disruption may pack their personal items prior to use or have their immediate manager do so.
  • Meeting space will be available with occupancy limits and social distancing required.  Allowed seating will be marked in advance.
  • Not all meeting attendees may be allowed in a conference room due to social distancing. The meeting organizer is responsible for determining the attendees to join in the conference room versus other locations to maximize collaboration.
  • Each office has new one way traffic patterns marked at each office entrance and throughout the facility.
  • At this time, visitors are not allowed at Bioventus offices. Please use Zoom for those business interactions.
  • Breakrooms also have limited capacity space and marked for seating and use of coffee machines, water fountains and microwaves.
    • Cleaning supplies are available by each.
